When Can I Read FINDERS KEEPERS?

Is Las Playas a Real Place?
Sadly, no. Las Playas is fictional, stitched together from the foggy, cold-water beach towns of Northern California: working piers, wetsuit surfers, Victorian houses, questionable strip malls (according to the mayor), and a whole lot of marine layer. If you’ve ever been to the Bay Area, you’ve probably been somewhere that feels like it.
Do I Need To Read The Books In Order?
Each book is its own case with its own ending, so you can jump in anywhere. But the relationships, the misfit found family, and the running jokes build across the series, so reading in order is the best experience.
How Many Books Will There Be?
A lot. Las Playas has plenty of missing people and mysteries, and Gamble and Dez have plenty of bad ideas. Many more cases are planned.
How Spicy Is It?
Yes? I’m kidding. There’s plenty of fade-to-black, lots of innuendo, Dez being… Dez, and Gamble blushing in the corner or choking on her protein shakes. There’s steam, but nothing graphic. A solid M for Mature and safe distance from E for Explicit.
Are There Content Warnings?
Yes. The series deals with PTSD and combat trauma, violence, sexual situations, and adult language alongside the banter and tamale jokes.
Who Is Freki? Can I Pet Her?
Freki is my service dog. You may have seen pictures of her. When she’s working, please don’t pet, call to, or distract her. She’s on the job. You’re welcome to ask, though! I usually say yes, and so will she. I also keep a lint roller handy for afterwards. Swiss shepherds are very fluffy.
Who Would Play Gamble and Dez?
I have ideas about that one. Opinions. Strong ones. I’m keeping them to myself for now. I’d love to hear your thoughts about it, though!
